People will do what you want them to do if they want to do it. They are not doing stuff based on our motivation, but only if they want to get something out of it.
You have to tell the person what’s in it for them and be genuine and positive about the same.
For the most part, by the time we’re in our early teens we know right from wrong on many levels. To gain respect, not only should you always do what’s right – irrespective of the consequences – but you should speak up for what is right.
Bosses keep you wondering or in fear just enough so that you tell them what they want to hear. At the least, bosses condition you not to say what they do not want to hear. This is why bosses don’t need a conflict management strategy – they just expect for everyone to agree with them.
