The suffering of life is immeasurable, cruel, unevenly distributed, invisible, and nameless. You will, in your lifetime, feel all of the pain you can handle, and much that you can't. You will be torn, bruised, battered, and ripped to pieces, and there will be no reward for you.
And the only thing that could ever possibly justify that pain, is the terribly unknowable beauty of life and the world around you. Whether that beauty is found in the sound of music, the innumerable fibers in a leaf, the gentle acceptance of a pet resting beside you, or the touch of a lover's hand.
